About this Beach
The name derives from the Arabic Marsa al-Furn, meaning harbour of the kiln, a reference to the lime kilns that once operated on the waterfront during the Arab period. Gozo's main resort town today, with a long promenade, three monitored swimming areas and a lively restaurant scene that takes its summers seriously.
