About this Beach
The small stone battery at the head of the valley was built by Grand Master Lascaris in the early eighteenth century to defend against pirate raids coming in from the sea. It still stands intact on the hillside, easy to spot from the beach below.

From Xemxija, take the road down through the valley toward the bay.
By bus
Bus 41 or 43 to Xemxija, then 15-min walk.
